A Peer Support Group

Overview

Living with Chronic Illness is a weekly peer support group for adults living with chronic or progressive medical conditions, including chronic pain, long-COVID, autoimmune illness, neurological conditions, and other complex health diagnoses.
Facilitated by a licensed clinical psychologist, specializing in health psychology — this group is designed to support individuals navigating the emotional, cognitive, and lifestyle challenges that often accompany chronic illness. About the Facilitator

Hi, I’m Elika! I’m a licensed clinical psychologist with advanced training in health psychology and mind–body medicine. For over 10 years, I have worked in integrated medical and healthcare settings, and also maintain a telehealth private practice serving residents of California and New York.
As a psychologist, I’ve facilitated a number of support, psychoeducation, and skills-based groups in various healthcare settings, including: CBT for Chronic Pain Groups, ACT for Chronic Pain Groups, Long-COVID Support & Recovery Groups, Chronic Illness Support Groups, Trauma Skills Groups, Introduction to Relaxation Groups, and Mindfulness Groups for Parkinson’s Groups. These past groups have highlighted the unique and profound sense of healing that comes from engaging in a supportive community with shared experiences.
I have worked across the medical system, including in Pain Management, Sleep Medicine, Movement Disorders/Parkinson’s Disease, Oncology, Primary Care, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, and Palliative Care. My approach integrates ACT, mindfulness, pacing strategies, CBT-informed tools, and self-compassion. Please reach out if you’re interested in scheduling an intake screening for this group.

Living well with chronic illness isn’t about pushing past limits—it’s about learning how to listen to them and to continue living with intention, purpose, and meaning.
