Overview

Living Well with Chronic Illness is a 7-week psychoeducational and skills-based therapy group for adults living with chronic or progressive medical conditions, including chronic pain, fatigue, autoimmune illness, neurological conditions, and complex health diagnoses.
Led by a licensed clinical psychologist, specializing in health psychology — this group is designed to support individuals navigating the emotional, cognitive, and lifestyle challenges that often accompany chronic illness. The group integrates evidence-based approaches to help participants improve coping skills, emotional resilience, and quality of life, while honoring the realities of living with ongoing health conditions.
This group is offered as an adjunct to individual psychotherapy and is not a replacement for primary mental health or medical care. All participants must be engaged in individual psychotherapy, and will complete a brief intake screening to ensure the group is supportive and appropriate at this time.

About the Facilitator

Hi, I’m Elika! I’m a licensed clinical psychologist in California (and New York) with advanced training in health psychology and mind–body medicine. For over 10 years, I have worked in integrated medical and healthcare settings, and also maintain a telehealth private practice serving Los Angeles and California residents.
As a psychologist, I’ve facilitated a number of support, psychoeducation, and skills-based groups in various healthcare settings, including: CBT for Chronic Pain Groups, ACT for Chronic Pain Groups, Long-COVID Support & Recovery Groups, Chronic Illness Support Groups, Trauma Skills Groups, Introduction to Relaxation Groups, and Mindfulness Groups for Parkinson’s. I’m now hoping to integrate a group offering into my private practice, to increase access to these groups to folks in the community.
I have worked all across the medical system, including in Pain Management, Sleep Medicine, Movement Disorders/Parkinson’s Disease, Oncology, Primary Care, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, and Palliative Care. I’ve also worked on inpatient unites in Bone Marrow Transplant and Oncology, and Palliative Care. My approach integrates ACT, mindfulness, pacing strategies, CBT-informed tools, and self-compassion. Please reach out if you’re interested in scheduling an intake screening for this group.
